Mrs. Milo Allen

Mrs. Milo Allen died at the home of her sister, Mrs. Henry Fuller, in Sheridan, last Friday. Mrs. Allen?s death is a very sad one. She, with her 18 year old son, came here from California last April to try and benefit their failing health. The boy died in July since then Mrs. Allen has failed rapidly. She was formerly Miss Nettie Havenhill, and a sister of Mrs. Mae Vreeland, who lives on the Wm. Allen place on the Lisbon road, and a cousin of Mrs. Wm. Magurn, of this city.

Mrs. Barbara Houchin

Mrs. Barbara Houchin died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Rachael Ashton in Wauponsee township Sunday morning, July 30th, at 8:30 o?clock aged 77 years, 1 month and 5 days. She was born in Champaign county, Ohio, in 1822 and moved to Illinois near Streator in 1836. She was converted in May 1841, since which time she has been a consistent Christian, being a member of the Congregational church. During the last year or more of her life she was a great sufferer with that dread disease, cancer. But always she bore her suffering with great patience. She leaves three daughters, namely, Mrs. Rachael Ashton, of Wauponsee, Mrs. Martha Davis and Mrs. Sarah Walker, of Geneva Neb., to mourn the loss of a kind and loving mother, four children having passed away prior to her death. Also two sisters and one brother survive her. The funeral will be held at the home of Mrs. Ashton Tuesday at 4 p.m. from which place she will be taken to Geneva, Neb., for burial.

Jacob Kindlespire

An Old Resident Dead – After a long illness, Jacob Kindlespire died at his home across the canal yesterday afternoon at 2 o?clock. He was born in Ohio, Oct. 24, ?38, and came to Morris in January 1873 and has been a resident of this city ever since. Besides a wife he leaves five children, George, Frank, Charlie, Maggie and Maude, all of whom are grown and reside in Morris. The funeral will be held from the Congregational church tomorrow afternoon at 2 o?clock and the remains will be interred in Evergreen cemetery.

Mary E. Wilson

A Sad Death – At 5:40 o?clock yesterday afternoon the spirit of Mary E. daughter of Supervisor and Mrs. M. B. Wilson, took its flight to its maker. The little girl took sick two weeks ago last Thursday and constantly grew worse, her death yesterday coming not unexpectedly. Heart trouble and pneumonia are given as the cause of dissolution. The little girl was the eldest child and would have been fourteen years old the eight of next month. She was a bright cheerful girl and the pet of the household. The whole community extends to the bereaved parents their heartfelt sympathy in this their house of sorrow. The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o?clock from the house, Rev. O. C. Johnson officiating. Interment will be made in Evergreen.
