Matilda DORAM/DURAM (marriage records spells Durhan) born 10/31/1858 to John DORAM and Harriet RANIE. Matilda married William Thomas DERICKSON in Wilmington IL on 10/2/1880. Her father, John DORAM, served in the 53^rd Ill. Infantry Co. C. He was a coal miner born in England 9/24/1831. His brother, T. DURAM also lived in Will and Grundy Counties and was a coal miner. Matilda's mother Harriet was born 1/4/1835 in PA and was a step-daughter of the John MORRISON family of Grundy Co IL. This family migrated to MO and then NE in ca 1884.

William Thomas DERICKSON b 8/18/1857 in PA, son of George DERICKSON and Martha COWLEY. George and Martha migrated to Grundy Co IL before 1867 and lived in Morrison Twp. and Braceville Twp. as well as near Wilmington IL. George and Martha were the parents of 8 children. George and Martha and one of their daughters, Rebecca DERICKSON MAUGER are buried in Oakwood Cemetery in Wilmington IL.
