James McNamee

James McNamee was born ca 1836 in Ireland. On August 6, 1862, he enlisted as a Private in Company C of the 76th Illinois Infantry at Morris, IL. He was discharged July 22, 1865, at the expiration of his term of service at Chicago, IL. On April 27, 1911, he applied for admission to the Illinois Soldiers' and Sailors' Home in Quincy, IL. His admission paperwork lists rheumatism as his disability. He was admitted April 27, 1911, registered number 9448. He received a pension of $15.00 per month on certificate number 90,162. His pension was filed in 1867, application # 130,410. His paperwork states he is single and has no children under 16 years of age. John Hines of Morris was listed as the person to contact in case of illness or death. He was discharged from the home on October 4, 1911.
