Patrick Frary was born ca 1842 in Donagal, Ireland. On August 7, 1862, he enlisted as a Private in Company C of the 76th Illinois Infantry at Morris, IL. He was discharged July 22, 1865, at the expiration of his term of service at Galveston, TX. On November 11, 1896, he applied for admission to the Illinois Soldiers' and Sailors' Home in Quincy, IL. His admission paperwork lists a hernia as his disability. He was admitted November 11, 1896, registered number 3775. He received a pension of $8.00 per month on certificate number 194,810. His pension was filed July 1876, application # 222,116. His paperwork states he is single and has no children under 16 years of age.
